| Swedish Online Casinos Site Draws New Members |

| Svenska Spel, the Swedish government’s very own lottery and online casinos site, has boosted membership by 30,000 since it launched online casinos poker in March 2006. Rising membership figures to the online casinos site were detected when the Swedish software supplier Boss Media, which supplies the gaming site with its software, reported a growth in net sales of 35 percent in the six months leading up to the end of March. Boss has also signed deals with Synot Lotto to assist the firm with its entry into the Czech online casinos market, and has developed further Bingo and Lotto products for several other emerging online casinos. Boss Media is also planning its expansion into the Chinese online casinos market, having acquired 20 percent of Hong Kong-based sports betting firm Bele. Svenska Spel is the only legalized form of gaming at online casinos available to Swedish fans. Instead of outlawing the online casinos industry, Sweden’s government has recognized the valuable tax revenue online gaming can provide, and is marketing its new site to Swedish casino players as offering them a legitimate way to enjoy gambling while ensuring that gaming revenue remains within the country. |
