The Online Casino Industry is Going International
22 Nov 2006
The online casino industry is traditionally English speaking and US orientated but recently there appear to be significant changes occurring that will make these generalizations less than accurate. A recent report by the online casino group 888 Holdings PLC said that it had seen a 20% rise in the third quarter from non-US online casino operations meaning a $38 million income as opposed to an income of $38 at the same time last year. Since the US ban, online casino gambling companies appear to have no problem in moving over to international online casino operations. In fact the online casino business seems to be booming. Online casino fans are still online casino fans and they are going to find a way to continue playing their favorite online casino games, whatever they may be – blackjack, poker, roulette, keno, slots or baccarat- with or without the US. As a result of the ban online casino sites have had to change their advertising techniques and strategies and the world appears to be responding well. This time last year the number of non-US registered online casino members at 888 with real money accounts was 40% less than it is now. This is very encouraging news for the online casino industry. The US government might have just done a favor for the international arena of the online casino industry as non-US online casino companies open doors to online casino fans who are looking for new places to gamble.
